This Quadcopter the Cheerson CX-10 is great for a beginner as it has three styles of flight modes which are accessible by pressing down on the throttle left hand side of remote which sends out a beep.
Beginners mode shows green light on transmitter, the next level puts out two beeps from the remote and for expert flyers pushing down on throttle sends 3 beeps from remote, the top rate is not for beginners.-Check out video below flight tips.
Good And Bad Points Of The Cheerson
Well there are more good features than bad ones for the CX-10, we will review below.
The first thing you need to do is charge her up using the USB cable supplied and takes around 20 minutes or less.Make sure you have some normal AAA batteries for the remote (not supplied)
The best way to bind quad I found was first to turn on quad then the remote (Transmitter or TX) You then see two lights blinking on, pust the throttle right up and back down and blinking lights will stop, she is now binded and ready to fly.
My first problem with remote for me anyway as have large fingers were the stick controls were to small same as the FQ777-124 as reviewed earlier There is a mod you can do via extended sticks you can get from Amazon here photo below.
Flying the Cheerson CX I was impressed with the yaw of this little flyer and how responsive it is to the controls on the remote. As a beginner the nano quad has three flight modes.
Re – Explanation on flight modes
Beginner mode shows a green light on remote, next mode for in between rate shows a red light and beeps twice on remote as changing, the top rate for experienced flyers beeps three times changing and also shows a red light on remote. To change rates push down on throttle stick on remote to hear the different beeps to know which rate you are flying in.
When turning on remote to bind with quad the rate always starts in beginner mode.
Flipping this quad is great fun and is done by remote, I have mode 2, throttle on the left and to flip press down right stick and then move stick to which way you want to flip.Make sure you have a bit of height before flipping, also you have to press stick to flip again as always goes back to flight mode you have set.
Comparing Cheerson CX with Pocket Drone FQ777-24
I like the fact the pocket drone FQ777 has a remote that the quad can fit inside the remote with the extra props and guards, the Cheerson does not have that feature.
The FQ777 is really a clone of the Cheerson and has similar flying techniques so easy to fly both one after the other.
I would recommend highly the Cheerson CX10 to buy, takes a lot of crashes and flies inside and outside on a calm day as has a 2.4G 4CH remote(TX). Please also review the Pocket Drone FQ777 Here to compare before you buy.
